Meet The Nigerian senator who does nothing but sleep in the red chambers

Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra state in the house of assembly, who was elected in January, 2018 has been caught on several occasion sleeping in the house.

Barely two months after joining the Nigerian Senate, Senator Umeh has joined the gang of sleeping Nigerian senators .

Following an appeal  brought to the appeal court by Senator Victor Umeh in December 2015, sacked Uche Ekwunife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ordered a rerun election to take place.

The Anambra central senatorial rerun election was conducted  and the polls held in seven local government areas; Njikoka, Awka north, Idemili south, Dunukofia, Awka south, Anaocha and Idemili north. Umeh polled 64, 878 votes, roundly defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate who came second with 975 votes.
